OAE Regeneration Appeal

From the start of the pandemic in 2020, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment has been determined to continue making music and inspiring our audiences. However, these are challenging times for all of us and the OAE is no exception. Our traditional operational model of live concert performances, tours and broadcasts that has been so successful for the last 35 years is in limbo. The fall-out from Covid-19, the after-effects of Brexit and the ongoing climate crisis mean that we need to evolve.

With your help we plan to grow by focussing our work on three core initiatives:

• A new approach to live performance and touring
• An enhanced education offer
• A new global digital platform

These initiatives will cost the OAE an additional £300,000 over the next eighteen months.

Thanks to three key donors’ support, we are delighted to announce that all donations up to a total of £150,000 will be matched, making your contribution doubly powerful.

The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Trust was set up in 2015 to secure the finances of the Orchestra and generate long term giving. Donations to the OAE Regeneration Appeal will be held in the Trust, which is a separate charity from the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

We may be able to accept gifts of shares to this appeal which can exempt the donor from income tax and capital gains tax on their value. Please get in touch with us to discuss this.
